Luxury airport lounge to open at Glasgow Airport this summer
A new luxury airport lounge is set to open to Glasgow Airport passengers this summer.
Glasgow Airport has invested more than £1.6 million into developing Lomond Lounge, which will open its doors to Glasgow Airport passengers from August 2019.
An executive lounge based in Glasgow Airport’s departures area, Lomond Lounge will be open to outbound passengers to add a touch of luxury to their holiday or business trip from Glasgow Airport.

The Lomond Lounge will be open from 5am until 9pm every day.

Lomond Lounge is set to be the fourth lounge to open at Glasgow Airport.
The other lounges available to book at Glasgow Airport are the airport’s UpperDeck lounge, the Emirates lounge and the British Airways lounge.
How big is Lomond Lounge at Glasgow Airport?
The spacious, 4,500 sq ft Lomond Lounge has the capacity to accommodate 100 people.
What’s the design of Lomond Lounge?
Its décor is inspired by Scottish nature and countryside, especially Loch Lomond (hence the name!) and the Trossachs National Park. The interior design has also taken inspiration from the airport itself, which was designed by architect Basil Spence.
What can we expect from Glasgow Airport’s new luxury airport lounge?
Glasgow Airport’s managing director, Mark Johnston, says the Lomond Lounge will offer passengers a “superior customer experience” and a “premium level of service and comfort”.
The new Glasgow Airport lounge will offer an option of table service or fine dining, as well as comfortable seating zones where passengers can relax and enjoy a drink and snack before they fly.
What kind of food will be available at Glasgow Airport Lomond Lounge?
Lomond Lounge will serve up a host of delicious food for Glasgow Airport passengers.
Fresh Scottish produce will be used to create an extensive selection of breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack options.
Local chefs will prepare dishes like eggs benedict, American breakfast pancakes, Lomond beef, vegan burgers, stone baked pizzas and fish and chips (with triple cooked chips and minted mushy peas – yum!).
Afternoon tea will also be available at Lomond Lounge, so Glasgow Airport passengers can tuck into finger sandwiches, fresh scones and cream, cakes and pastries ahead of their journey.
What drinks will be available at Lomond Lounge?
Customers visiting the Lomond Lounge before their flight will be able to choose from an extensive range of drinks, which will include craft beers and ales, speciality cocktails, award-winning wines and a selection of spirits.
Soft drinks, tea and coffee will also be available to Lomond Lounge visitors.
Can I charge my phone in the Lomond Lounge at Glasgow Airport?
Yes! The lounge will feature charging points for you to power up your mobile before your flight, as well as speedy WiFi, free papers and magazines. A separate business zone is available if you’re looking for some peace and quiet to catch up on your emails.
